Mentor Logs

Go to p. 8-3 in your capstone handbook (or view for the capstone handbook online) for an overview of what to include in every mentor log. Post a mentor log to your blog within three days of spending time with your mentor and/or working on your physical project. 

• It is up to you how you format your mentor logs, but you must make sure to include the required content.

•  The mentor logs are very important to your project-- it is how you monitor your progress throughout the physical project, it is how your mentor observes your progress, and it is how I evaluate you on your capstone project. 

• Share your blog URL with your mentor!

•  Use your best judgement as to how frequently you should post a mentor log (if you spend 10 minutes on something, you probably don't have much to write about.)

For an example of what is considered to be a thorough and well-done mentor logs, go to http://austingumban.blogspot.com/. This former SSFHS student did an excellent job documenting his work on his physical project and setting goals along the way.

Are you using your blog to log your time spent with your mentor? Remember to keep track of everything for senior project! Stay tuned for dates to submit your mentor logs so I know you are working on them.

As your classmates work on their physical projects, you will be able to see their progress and comment! That is why it is VERY IMPORTANT you are following as many blogs as you can.

p.s. You can access all posts on my blog from the "Archive" list on the left-hand side. I will never delete a blog post, so if you need to reference something from before, you can search for it. The labels for the posts can also help you with that.
